Founded in 1959, Tropical Hotels & Resorts Brasil began as as Realtur S/A Hoteleira, an independent lodging company linked to the former Brazilian airline Real S/A Transportes Aéreos. Realtur began operations with Hotel das Cataratas, a well known property located in the town of Foz do Iguassu, State of Paraná. In 1961, Realtur acquired the rights to operate Hotel da Bahia from the Bahia State Government. The Tropical Hotels & Resorts Brasil brand name was launched on October 9th, 1967. |
